Abstract

1452309 Rotary cutters; saws P MALINCHAK 14 Aug 1973 [15 Aug 1972] 38362/73 Heading B5L [Also in Division B3] A rotary cutting tool comprises an annular body 16 having a plurality of pockets and a plurality of substantially cylindrical inserts 10 each located in a pocket and having a substantially circular cutting edge, formed by sinusoidal undulations, each insert being indexable in its pocket. When arranged in the seats the teeth of the inserts are located at 17 and are offset relative to each other. The inserts are made from tungsten carbide. The tool may be an end mill, or a circular saw.
