Abstract

A multiple plug arrangement, in which fibre ends (16), provided with sleeves (15), of a plug part are embedded in an elastic mass provided with prismatic openings (12). These prismatic openings each have a snug fit around the sleeve concerned, but cause less friction than would be the case with openings having a circular cross-section. Consequently, it is possible to use lighter compressive springs (19), which produce a butt joint with the sleeves of the fibres in the connector mating piece. <IMAGE>
