Abstract

1450694 Phase unbalance protection CANADIAN GENERAL ELECTRIC CO Ltd 11 Oct 1973 [28 Dec 1972] 47577/73 Heading H2K A phase unbalance protective system comprises three current to voltage transducers (Fig. 1, not shown) providing signals to halfwave rectifiers 30A, 30B, 30C, and three differential integrating circuits such as 34A, 35, 36A, 38A, 39A, 45, 46, 145, 146 which each receive two of the half-wave signals and provide D.C. output at 47A, 47B, 47C, proportional to the input signal difference. The unidirectional sum of these signals is then selected to be amplified at 53 and part of the resultant signal is fed to an amplifier 58 controlling a transistor 60 to provide a current sink for D.C. provided to a time delay circuit 64, 65 so that when the transistor 60 conducts or due to imbalance signal from amplifier 58 capacitor 64 changes to a voltage representing the imbalance and this voltage controls threshold indicating and tripping circuits through diodes 79 and 79A.
