Abstract

1450404 Extendable work tops ROBERT KRAUSE KG ZWEIGNIEDERLASSUNG WEILHEIM TECK 21 Dec 1973 [22 Dec 1972] 59542/73 Heading A4H An extendable work top comprises, when extended, an inner part 8 and an outer part 7, the inner part 8 lying above the outer part 7 when the top is non-extended, the parts 7, 8 being slidably mounted in a cabinet 2, the arrangement being such that during the insertion of parts 7, 8 with the parts 7, 8 fully extended, spring-urged camming members 21 pivotally mounted at the inner end of part 7 engage fixed wire cams 15 and rollers 35 on the inner end of part 8 engage fixed ramps 27 causing lifting of part 8. Rollers 35 eventually latch in recesses 39. When the parts are fully inserted and non-extended, on withdrawal of part 7, part 8 drops down and is pulled out with the part 7 due to a traction rod (31), Fig. 4, (not shown) on part 8 provided with an adjustable stop (33) sliding in a bracket (30) on part 7, and a pin (28) on bracket (30) engaging in a recess in part 8. Tubes (12), Fig. 1, (not shown) fixed to a shutter strip (13) on part 8 telescope within tubes 11 which telescope within fixed tubes 10. Rollers 35, 34 on the parts 8, 7 run on guides 36.
