1449123 Extracting protein from vegetable seeds UNILEVER Ltd 6 Nov 1973 [8 Nov 1972] 51501/72 Heading C3H A process for obtaining vegetable protein from vegetable seeds comprises extracting the seeds with a solvent mixture containing at least one organic apolar solvent, e.g. hexane, water and at least one organic polar solvent, e.g. an alkanol such as ethanol, such that during the majority of the extraction the solvent mixture contains, by weight, 10-78% of organic polar solvent or solvents, 12-50% water and 10- 78% organic polar solvent or solvents.
