Abstract
1448902 Making heat exchanger tubing OLIN CORP 2 May 1974 [10 May 1973] 48044/75 Divided out of 1448901 Heading B3A A method of making a corrugated heat exchanger tube from metal strip comprises forming longitudinally extending corrugations in the strip leaving longitudinally extending edge portions of the strip uncorrugated, the edge portions having a combined width less than 20% of the corrugated strip width, forming the corrugated strip into a tube with the strip edges in longitudinal abutment and with the uncorrugated portions intercepting the corrugated portion and the peaks of corrugations, and welding the strip edges together. The method is described in Specification 1,448,901.
