Abstract

1448233 Movable barrages PNEUMATIQUES CAOUTCHOUC MFR ET PLASTIQUES KLEBER-COLOMBES 16 Oct 1973 [18 Oct 1972 (3)] 48219/73 Heading E1H A movable barrage, e.g. a dam or weir for a watercourse comprises a flexible enclosure 13 inflatable by filling with water and releasably connected to anchoring strip 12 secured directly or indirectly to the watercourse bed. As shown the releasable connection may be a plurality of hooks 14, or any suitable releasable fastening and the strip 12 is secured to a beam 10 of concrete. The enclosure may rest upon a protective mat, a similar mat being laid over the enclosure, both mats being releasably connected to the anchoring means, Fig. 3 (not shown). In another embodiment the anchoring strip comprises a strip of material buried in the bed of the watercourse, Figs. 4, 5 (not shown). A number of enclosures may be located end-to-end to form an elongate barrier.
