Abstract
1446849 Resistance heating TRIPLEX SAFETY GLASS CO Ltd 28 Nov 1973 [29 Nov 1972] 43835/75 Divided out of 1446848 Heading H5H A non-conducting substrate with a sputtered, transparent, electrically conductive metal oxide (In-Sn) coating, e.g. a windscreen, has a variable thickness and resistance over its area such that it is in the range 6 to 120 ohms./sq. and the difference between the highest and lowest points is 2À3 to 97 ohms./sq. The variation may be stepwise or smooth from one end to the other, a smooth variation from each end to the middle or such that points of the same resistance lie on sharply bent lines. Alternatively the resistance may be graded in two directions.
