Abstract

1445660 Timepiece escapements TIMEX CORP 29 Nov 1974 [19 Feb 1974] 51928/74 Heading G3T In order to allow a pallet lever to have its pivot axis 13 within the outer diameter of a balance 5 without the use of an additional lever supporting part, the lever comprises a first portion 12, a second portion 21 extending axially and outside the outer arc of the balance, and a third portion 28 extending from the second portion whereby the first and third portions can be pivotally mounted at opposite sides of the balance e.g. by pins 29, 31 fixed respectively in plate 22 and bridge 23. As described the lever is integrally moulded from acetal glass-filled plastics. The portion 21 is a hollow column depending from a pallet arm 15 which forms part of the first portion. The latter also includes an impulse arm 18 having a flat part 18a which terminates in fork 19, and a rib 18b forming guard pin 20.
