Abstract

1445479 Parametric amplifiers RAYTHEON CO 16 Dec 1974 [22 Jan 1974] 54277/74 Heading H3X [Also in Divisions H1 and H2] A multiple diode microwave parametric amplifier which includes fuses and diodes manufactured so that the fuses are spaced from a substrate (see Division H1) comprises a substrate 40, on which are formed fuses 44a- 44c to which diodes 46a-46c are connected. Incoming signals which are to be amplified are coupled on line 41 and a microwave circulator 48 which directs them to D.C. blocking capacitors 47a-47e. The amplified signals are coupled back from diodes 46a-46e through leads 52a- 52e and capacitors 47a-47e to the circulator 48 and output line 45. Several such diode amplifiers may be cascaded or connected in parallel for additional power gain.
