Abstract
1444920 Wiring harness HARTLEY ELECTROMOTIVES (LONDON) Ltd 19 Nov 1973 [7 Dec 1972] 56508/72 Heading H2C A wiring harness comprises a plurality of leads 11 secured together into a bundle with taper 12 or by other means, and a pair of overlapping leads 13, 14 which are required in use to extend from point 15 away from the bundle to which they are detachably secured by tapes 16. The ends of the leads 13, 14 are bent back on themselves to engage the tape 16 so preventing their longitudinal movement relative to the bundle 11. Each lead may contain two insulated wires and one base earth wire. The tapes 16 may be coloured differently from tapes 12 to indicate that they may be cut to release leads 13, 14. The plurality of leads may be secured to a flexible non-conductive member to form a flat bundle, the tapes 12 being then not necessary.
