1444564 Decomposition apparatus HOKUETSU HUME PIPE KK 8 Nov 1973 [8 Nov 1972 12 Dec 1972 19 Dec 1972 (2)] 51995/73 Heading B1F [Also in Division Cl] Apparatus for making carbon comprises an elongate chamber 1 rota table about its central longitudinal axis and inclined transfer pieces 12 fixed in one sector of the chamber and arranged in part spiral form which on rotation of the chamber transfer carbonaceous material from the inlet to an outlet for carbon at the other end of the chamber and at least one stirrer 13 fixed in another sector of the chamber, and means for heating the chamber.
