Abstract

1444545 Razors WILKINSON SWORD Ltd 23 Oct 1973 [27 Oct 1972] 49545/72 Heading B4B A shaving unit comprises a substantially rigid member 11 to which at least one razor blade 10 is secured in a permanent manner, the rigid member having a guard bar 11a at a pre-set spacing from the cutting edge 10a the guard bar having a number of grooves formed therein to leave teeth 11b which, during shaving, bear against the skin of the user. The teeth are provided with transverse ribs thereby roughening the surface of the guard bar so as to provide a greater degree of friction with the skin of the user. The provision of the teeth enable the cutting of long hair to be facilitated.
