Abstract

1442676 Saucepan handles DINGERKUS Gebr 19 Sept 1973 [23 March 1973] 43887/73 Heading A4A A lifting device for a kitchen utensil comprises a support member 2, of substantially U-shape for welding to the wall 1 of the utensil, a handle portion 5 having a recess 4 receiving the support member, a spring 7 located in the recess 4 and having a bent-over portion 10 engaging a flank portion in a recess of the support member, and a rib 16 in the recess 4 separating the two flange portions providing the U-shape to the support member. The handle portion 5 is of thermal insulation material and has a metal sleeve 6 mounted to be in contact with the wall 1. The spring 7 is secured in the recess by a screw 8. A second shank 11 of the spring is located against the underside of web 3 of support member 2. A lug 14 on each flange portion of support member 2 locates against the sleeve 6 when the flanges of member 2 are spaced by rib 16.
