Abstract

1442207 Tractor with implement tilt and draught control KLOCKNER-HUMBOLDTDEUTZ AG 12 June 1973 [21 June 1972] 27944/73 Heading A1P [Also in Division F2] A tractor having a hydraulic power lift comprises a first manual control (not shown) near the driver's seat whereby a desired draught load can be selected whilst the tractor is moving an automatic control whereby at least one of the lower links is raised or lowered to maintain the desired draught load, a second manual control (not shown) adjacent the lift links whereby their inclination can be adjusted whilst the tractor is stationary and a third manual control adjacent the second manual control whereby the automatic control can be manually activated to adjust the link(s) whilst the tractor is stationary. With repeated raising and lowering of the links by manually activating the normally automatically activated power lift control the lateral tilt manual control can be adjusted at the top changeover point of the links' stroke under zero load. In Fig. 1 load changes are imposed on calibrated U-spring 1 via top link 5 and are transmitted to power lift control 13 via stub shaft 6, rotatable sleeve 8, eccentric spigot 10 and a linkage 11 which is rotatably carried by the spigot and pivoted at 12 so that its effective length can be varied manually by unlocking handle 15 and rotating the sleeve. In Fig. 2 load changes from top link 23 cause a pivot 24 of linkage 25, 26 to move along the bisector of their angle and actuate power lift control 28. Unlocking lever 30 allows manual activation. A hydraulic ram is connected to each of the lower links.
