1441722 Sewing machine work guide DURKOPPWERKE GmbH 22 May 1974 [23 May 1973] 22869/74 Heading D1G In a work guiding device for a sewing machine a lower plate 10 provides a work guiding edge 11, and a cover plate 20 is pivoted on the lower plate and may be moved out to cover the margin of the workpiece or withdrawn to permit the passage of thicker material using a pneumatic piston and cylinder 6. A third plate 30 may be placed above the others. The device may be attached to the bed plate of the machine by screws 2, 3, and the piston may be actuated by a foot control, or automatically by means of a photo cell which detects the presence of a workpiece edge.
