Abstract

1441702 Endless belt conveyers XEROX CORP 15 March 1974 [19 March 1973] 11573/74 Heading B8A [Also in Divisions G2] In a device for fusing toner particles on copy sheets in an electrostatographic printing machine, of the kind in which the copy sheets are conveyed under a radiant heater and the conveyer belt 88 is also heated as described in Specification 1,426,563; lengthening of the belt 88 due to overheating, caused for example by the belt 88 stopping, is detected by the lever arm 110 of a switch 112 being allowed to move upwards and so opening the switch 112. This opening of the switch may be used to disconnect power from either the whole machine or only the heating elements of the fusing device.
