Abstract

1441488 Rolling mills MITSUBISHI JUKOGYO KK 18 June 1974 26902/74 Heading B3M A roll gap control assembly includes an electrical induction position transducer associated with a roll-gap adjusting annular piston 22 and an annular cylinder 21 which receives the piston between its inner and outer walls. The transducer has a fixed part 38 attached to the cylinder or a foundation, and a movable part 29 attached to the piston by a rod 23. The transducer may alternatively be housed within the hollow interior of the cylinder.
