Abstract

1441057 Steel plate or sheet NIPPON STEEL CORP 11 June 1974 [11 June 1973] 25798/74 Heading C7A Isotropic high strength, high silicon steel sheet or plate comprises with the balance being iron and unavoidable impurities, and has a Si:Mn ratio between 0À6 and 1À5. Up to 0À5% Cr or Cu and 0À4% each Mb, V and Ti and 0À1% Al may be present, as well as Ce and/or Zr in the ratios Ce:S in the range 1À5 to 2À0 and Zr:S = 2-3. The steel may be vacuum melted, cast, homogenized at 1250‹C prior to hot-rolling and air cooling. Cold-rolling and batch or continuous annealing does not significantly affect the lentele properties.
