Abstract

1440537 Boilers; arrangement of burner heads YGNIS SA 10 June 1974 [15 June 1973] 25588/74 Headings F4A and F4T In a boiler 1 operated with a gaseous or gasifiable fuel adjacent to heat exchange conduits 23 passing through a water chamber 7, a gas burner assembly 13 is provided with a number of sets of individual burner jets 14, each set being associated with a heat exchange conduit 23 such that air enters an inlet 11 in a pre-mixing chamber 19 and the hot gases pass through a lower portion or combustion chamber 25 of each heat exchange conduit 23 and then pass into a restricted cross-section 26 forming a convection chamber. The convection chambers 26 are provided with protuberences 28 to cause turbulence. Fig. 3 shows an enlarged view of part of the burner assembly 13 with sets of individual pilot jets 16.
