Abstract
1440462 Extracting oils STORK AMSTERDAM BV 29 June 1973 31231/73 Heading C5C Edible vegetable oils, e.g. palm oil, are recovered from a crude oil product containing polysaccharides which has been obtained by pressing or centrifuging mashed vegetable products by adding an amylase-type enzyme, adjusting the temperature of the mixture to a value for maintaining the oil in a liquid condition but below the inactivation temperature of the enzyme and maintaining at this temperature for a time sufficient to separate out the oil from the crude product which then may be decanted off. After treatment with the amylase type enzyme the product may be treated with a pectolytic enzyme.
