1440455 Supporting transducer heads INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 24 July 1973 35200/73 Heading G5R An arm 1 carries one or more head support bars 6, each carrying a head 4 (e.g. on a resilient suspension unit 8), and is rotatable about a shaft 3 by an actuator 2 to move the head or heads 4 across one or more discs 5, a radius of the or each disc 5 being tangential at substantially the mid-point of the arc described by a transducing point of the associated head 4 when moved between its two extreme transducing positions.
