Abstract

1440201 Forms of wood K OKUTANI 10 Aug 1973 38104/73 Heading B5L [Also in Divisions E1-E2] A structural board comprises wood strips of two different widths laid upon one another in random stratiform fashion and secured together by cement so as to provide an irregular structure incorporating a plurality of irregularly shaped sealed cells in a random arrangement. As described the wood strips consist of two groups, one of strips having a width of 10-100 mm and lengths of 200-250 mm and the other of strips having a width of 3-10 mm and lengths of 100-250 mm. The strips are secured together by Portland cement, magnesia cement, or gypsum. A laminated structural component may be formed by combining at least one structural board with at least one layer of concrete.
