Abstract
1440085 Mechanical milking process F HAPPEL 17 Sept 1973 [3 Oct 1972] 43528/73 Heading A1M A method for the milk flow dependent termination of a mechanical milking process wherein a pressure massage is produced by a periodic change between pressure and atmosphere in the inner chamber of the teat cup, a constant milk line suction being stopped temporarily before the start of the pressure massage and recommencing before the massage is finished. The process is automatically stopped when the milk flow drops below a predetermined level and the teat cups are. held in place by an external face, to avoid damaging the udder. A preferred method involves stopping the milking process and after a predeterminable time starting it again so that complete milking is achieved. Preferably, the external force, which may assist in the pressure massage is produced by pressure differences in spaces outside the teat cup inner space.
