Abstract

1440070 Pressurized dispensing containers BESPAK INDUSTRIES Ltd 27 Dec 1973 [28 Dec 1972] 59847/72 Heading F1R A valve for a pressurized dispensing container comprising a stem 6 having a valve-member 3 seating on a sealing member 4 to control the flow through radial passage 8, has a second sealing member 7 engaging the stem above the passage 8, the member 7 being supported only at its outer periphery so that the inner edge of the member is free to flex when the stem 6 is depressed to open the valve. The sealing member 4 is received in a deep counter bore of a seal support 10, which facilitates assembly. The member 4 does not engage the stem and is unsupported at its lower inner periphery. The valve housing 2 is formed with ledges 12a for supporting the spring 5, and lobes 13 providing flow passages past the spring.
