Abstract

1338911 Valves WRIGHT RAIN Ltd 19 April 1971 [24 March 1970] 14157/70 Heading F2V A valve, particularly for horticultural or agricultural land spraying systems or mist propagation devices, opens after a predetermined number of pressure pulses have been applied to it by the liquid to be sprayed. The valve includes an actuator, such as the piston 7, which, on the relaxation of each pulse operates a ratchet 17 arranged to bring a cam 22 into a position, where it operates the valve. As shown, the pivoted flap valve 4 is returned by a torsion spring 24 when the cam releases a lever 23. The piston chamber is carried on the side of the valve housing and has a connecting passage to the inlet. The L-shaped piston rod 15 carries driving pawl 16 and there is a freewheeling pawl 19.
