Driving steering-wheels; transmission gear between separate axles; free-wheel gearing.-A tractor in which the front axle is mounted on horiaonta! trunnions is driven by a longitudinal propeller shaft A which drives the rear axle E through differential gear H, and the front axle R through bevel gear S. The front axle drives the steering- wheels T through universal joints and ratchet or free-wheel devices.
