1337299 Locks FELIX FLAND GmbH STAHL-SCHANZ GmbH and RIEXINGER GmbH 21 Oct 1971 [22 Oct 1970] 49085/71 Heading E2A A combined lock and latch for doors of either hand, has a latch bolt 130 operable by either follower 102 or 104 through a slider 110 or 112 respectively, each slider having a ramp surface R engaging a pin 132 or 134 to withdraw the bolt, and it also has a lockable bolt having projections 142, 144 on each side of the latch bolt and operable by either of two key-locks 103, 105 through a tiltable arm 152 which has a cam-slot 158 acting on a pin 146 of the bolt. This arm is indexed by spring 174 acting in notches 166, 168, 170. In a modification (Figs. 4-6, not shown) the lockbolt lies between a pair of latch-bolts, and is controlled by a plate (252) having a V-slot as above and sliding on pins 122 and 126, a plate tumbler (282) serving to lock the sliding plate in a position to which it has been placed by a key. In a further modification, (Figs. 7-9, not shown) the motion is transmitted from the followers to the latch bolt by levers, and the lock-bolt is slid by direct action of the key-ring which also serves to release a pair of pivoted locking tumblers (383, 391) which are linked by a pin 387 to move in opposite directions, one only having a pin (389) moving in a slot (349) in the bolt to hold or release it. Since the tumblers move in opposite directions, a key acting on either will release the bolt.
