Abstract
1337112 Hydraulic control circuits RUBERY OWEN & CO Ltd 27 May 1971 [28 May 1970] 25657/70 Heading F1P [Also in Division F2] In an hydraulic control circuit, Fig. 1 (not shown) e.g. for a straddle carrier, a booster pump (3) feeding a variable delivery pump (2) draws liquid from a main tank (4) via an auxiliary tank (5), the return line 15, Fig. 2 leading to a thermostatically controlled diverter valve which has a piston 16 positioned according to the liquid temperature to direct the return liquid via outlets 12 and/or 13 to the auxiliary tank (5) and/or main tank (4). The piston 16 is moved from the 'cold' position shown by the expansion of a quantity of wax within element 18, the 'cold' position being adjustable by means of screw 23 and plunger 20. The cooler main tank may be in the form of a radiator with natural or forced cooling, and the auxiliary tank is provided with an electric heater to provide initial heating. The diverter valve may be remotely controlled in accordance with the temperature at some other point in the circuit.
