Abstract

1337169 Cans; packaging METAL BOX CO Ltd 25 Oct 1972 [3 Dec 1971] 56227/71 Headings B8D and B8C A can body 10, having flutes 12, 13 extending across a seaming flange 11 and down the interior wall, is closed by clinching a can end 15 to the body, introducing carbon dioxide into the head space 16 through the flutes after evacuating the air, and double-seaming the can end and body flanges while ironing out the flutes, Fig. 6 (not shown).
