Abstract

1335338 Valves ROCKFORD SERVO CORP 14 Aug 1972 [4 Oct 1971] 37860/72 Heading F2V [Also in Division G3] An electro-pneumatic transducer comprises a rigid support structure 25 with an orifice 27, a closure member 31 mounted in cantilever fashion on the free end of a pair of leaf springs 33, 34, an electromagnetic actuator having a stator assembly 51 mounted on the structure and an armature 52 mounted on the free end of the leaf springs. The armature is mounted for angular adjustment so that the flux linkage can be varied. A calibrating spring 81 is provided for the leaf springs. The transducer is incorporated in web positioning device including photo-electric detector 11, a source of low pressure air 13, a flow restrictor 14 and a diaphragm 16 acting as a pressure responsive operator which operates the servo valve 17 to supply fluid from a source, such as pump 18, to the positioning motor 19.
