Abstract

1334228 Touch responsive systems JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 9 Dec 1970 [30 Dec 1969] 63230/69 Heading G1N [Also in Division H2] In a system for raising an lowering a window in a vehicle by a D.C. (permanent magnet field) motor 11, a control circuit is provided which, when energized due to the top edge of the window being touched, prevents the window being raised. The control circuit comprises either a stop or a reverse relay 22, 23 which is energized via a thyristor 46 whose trigger is controlled by a field effect transistor 41 connected to the metallized top edge 38 of the window. A transistor inverter circuit 26 is energized when window control switch 12 is in the "raise" position and supplies energy to a loop aerial 37 within the vehicle. A person touching the metallized edge couples this energy to the F.E.T., thereby causing the relay to be energized and the motor stopped or reversed.
