Abstract

1333668 Caliper gauges TESA S A 4 May 1971 [ 20 May 1970] 12949/71 Heading G1M A scale bar 1 supports a slider 5 and indicating means 7 operated by gears 8 meshing with a rack 4 housed in a groove 3 in the bar 1. The rack is protected by a metal or plastics strip 9 held at both ends 11, 12 in the groove 3 and being taken over shoulders 14, 15 and pins or rollers 16, 17 in the slider 5. Both ends of the strip may be attached to springs or other elastic means, or the strip may be attached in a non- elastic manner provided an elastic tensioning means is provided in the slider 5.
