1331586 Hydraulic fluids TEXACO DEVELOPMENT CORP 3 March 1972 [27 May 1971] 9912/72 Heading C5F An hydraulic fluid comprises at least 86 wt. per cent of a mineral lubricating oil, 0À1-5 wt. per cent of a zinc di-(alkaryloxypolyalkoxy) dithiophosphate salt of formula where R = C 6 -C 18 aliphatic hydrocarbon and n = 1-10; and 0À01-0À5 wt. per cent of an N-acyl sarcosine of formula where R is C 12 -C 18 aliphatic hydrocarbon. The fluid may also contain a methacrylate polymer. The mineral oil may comprise 60-95% refined paraffinic distillate fraction and 40-5% naphthenic base distillate. In an example, a formulation contains also basic barium sulphonate and dimethyl silicone.
