Abstract

1331222 Endless conveyers C W WARD 10 April 1970 [17 Jan 1969] 2905/69 Heading B8A [Also in Division F2] In a conveyer belt cleaning apparatus, the scraper assembly 10 comprises a plastics e.g. polypropylene, polyurethane, scaper bar 22 of triangular cross-section with a hexagonal crosssection steel bar 24 extending coaxially of and bonded to the scraper bar. The bar 24 has serrated washers 30 secured thereto at opposite ends for interengagement with similar washers 44 for selective rotational adjustment of the bar. The washers 44 are mounted on respective mounting brackets 36 each secured to the free end of a cantilevered leaf spring assembly 12. Each leaf spring assembly is mounted on a bracket 14 to be independently pivotable about an axis 16 whereby to adjust the pressure of the scraper bar on the conveyer belt.
