Abstract

1331092 Wall ties BRITISH CERAMIC RESEARCH ASSOCIATION 12 July 1971 [14 July 1970] 34074/70 Heading E1B A wall tie has bifurcated projections C engaging the mortar between adjacent bricks in opposed skins of a cavity wall to prevent the walls separating, and faces D' abutting the opposed faces of the two skins to prevent them moving together. The body may be solid brass or steel and formed by drop forging. The bifurcated portions may engage the opposed skins at different levels. (For Figure see next column)
