1330975 Mixing apparatus; and comminuting NAUCHNO - ISSLEDOVATELSKY I KONSTRUKTORSKO - TEKHNOLOGICHESKY INSTITUT EMALIROVANNOGO KHIMICHESKOGO OBORUDOVANIA 5 Nov 1971 51468/71 Headings B1C and B2A Apparatus for treating material comprises a vessel 1 charged with grinding or mixing media in the form of ferromagnetic particles 2 and mounted by an inductor 4 which generates a rotating magnetic field and thus moves the particles to effect grinding or mixing. The vessel and/or inductor are relatively reciprocated along their common axis, so as to cause the particles to have a longitudinal component of movement. The reciprocation may be effected by a crank and connecting rod assembly 5 or other mechanical or electromechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic mechanisms.
