Abstract
1330248 Bromochlorodifluoromethane; dichlorodifluoromethane IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 14 Feb 1972 [17 Feb 1971] 4840/71 Heading C2C CBrClF 2 and CF 2 Cl 2 are prepared by the vapour phase chlorination of CBr 2 F 2 at 300- 600‹ C., the molar ratio CBr 2 F 2 : Cl 2 being at least 1 : 1. Bromine product may be used to brominate CHClF 2 to form further CBrClF 2 ; unreacted CBr 2 F 2 may be recycled.
