1330070 Dispensing articles KOKUSAI KEISO Co Ltd 23 Dec 1971 [22 Jan 1971] 60186/71 Heading A4T [Also in Division G4] A dispensing machine which is preferably coin freed comprises a plurality of hangers 2 for supporting the articles 16 to be dispensed, each hanger having head, leg and hook portions, holding means 5, 6 including an inclined guide rail 6 for supporting the head portions of the hangers and having an opening extending along its full length through which the leg portions of the hangers extend Fig. 5 (not shown) and restraining means 4 operable to release a single hanger at a time from the end of the holding means. A plurality of holding means are provided these being arranged in superposed rows Figs.1 and 2 (not shown) with the hangers and articles being released from the rear end of the holding means to a common delivery chute (12) and discharge opening (11). A selection button (19), sold-out warning lamp (19') and viewing window (18) are provided for each holding means. In the embodiment shown the restraining means 4 is moved to the left by solenoid 27 on operation of a selection button, allowing the lowermost hanger to fall between arm 25 of the restraining means and the bottom of member 5, but preventing movement of the other hangers by the positioning of step 23 of the restraining means beneath abutment 22 of member 5. The dispensed articles contacts a switch (13) in the delivery chute to de-energize the solenoid 27. It is stated that the reciprocating restraining means may be replaced by a star wheel mechanism.
