Abstract

1329331 Adjustable seats NOUVELLE SOC MIRIMA SARL 17 May 1971 15308/71 Heading A4J [Also in Division E2] A telescopically adjustable seat support is locked in position by a double conical body 6 which supports the weight of the seat and engages the outer sleeve 1 through a series of arcuate grippers 15 of wound-up piano wire. Release is effected by pulling handle 8 upwardly, this lowers a cup-shaped carrier 13 with respect to the conical body 6, thus releasing the grippers 15. The inner tube 2 swivels on the body 6 at a further frusto-conical surface 19.
