Abstract

1329352 Reciprocating pumps SOC PER LA COSTRUZIONE DI MACCHINE EDILI SpA 31 Aug 1971 [2 Sept 1970] 40637/71 Heading F1A A pump for concrete comprises cylinders 26 a-f which open into the bottom of a tank 24, and have pistons 27a-f reciprocated by a cam 105 acting through hooks 104 and ball joints 103 on piston rods 35. A valve member 28 has an inlet shaped to register with those cylinders on their discharge strokes, the cylinders on their suction strokes communicating with the tank. As shown, the tank and piston and cylinder assembly is stated relative to valve member 28 and cam 105, the tank being driven via gear teeth 110 and supported by bearing 124. A fixed stirrer 122 depends into tank 24. Alternatively the tank and piston and cylinder assembly may be stationary, and the cam and valve member rotated. A sealed space 111 beneath tank 24 has water circulated through it to remove concrete leaking from the tank. A replaceable wear-resistant plate 101 is sandwiched between valve member 28 and the cylinders, springs 107 biasing the cylinders against the plate. The pump assembly is mounted on a vehicle, Fig. 1 (not shown).
