Abstract
1327424 Inflation aspirators ROCKET RESEARCH CORP 27 Aug 1970 [28 Aug 1969] 41343/70 Heading F1E [Also in Division F2] In a two-stage inflation nozzle, during initial inflation gas issuing from openings 19 in a conduit 18 extending diametrically across the otherwise open end of passage 16 induces an inflow of ambient air into passage 16 and into a surrounding annular passage controlled by valve sleeve 30 anchored at 28. When the back pressure reaches a predetermined level, the sleeve folds inwards between ribs 22 and terminates inflow through the annular passage. At a predetermined higher pressure the sleeve end and band 26 fold inwards between the anchor pins 28 to act as a pressure relief valve, check valve 32 then closing to prevent deflation. In the modification of Fig.5, inflation gas issues from nozzle groups 52, 54 into concentric aspirator passages 44, 48 surrounded by respective further aspirator passages controlled by sleeves 56, 58 as above.
