Abstract

1327265 Cathode-ray tube circuits LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-GmbH 29 Sept 1970 [4 Oct 1969] 46202/70 Heading H4T In cathode-ray tube circuit arrangement for correcting line direction pincushion or barrel distortion and which employs a transductor 9 (Fig. 1) a "working" winding 8 of which is effectively connected in parallel with winding 3 of the line drive coils 2, 3 and the control winding of which is connected in series with the frame scan coils 10, a resistance 14 of a predetermined magnitude is connected effectively in a parallel with winding 8 to compensate for variations in the tube operating HT (derived by rectification of the line fly-back pulses 6) caused by the varying inductive load presented by the transductor. The effect of the latter is to cause a progressive increase in the HT voltage as the (frame) scan proceeds from the centre towards the upper and lower edges of the raster where, due to vibrations in beam current loading, pulsations-"breathing"-of the raster is most noticeable. Considerations leading to the required value for resistance 14 are discussed with reference to Fig. 2 (not shown). The resistance of the "working" winding 8 may itself form the required resistance.
