Abstract
1327030 Strippable coating composition BRITISH OXYGEN CO Ltd 9 Dec 1970 [10 Dec 1969 16 June 1970] 60352/69 and 29266/70 Heading C3P A strippable coating composition comprises a dispersion of a terpolymer of 50-60% butyl acrylate, at least 25% acrylonitrile and at least 1% methyl methacrylate units by weight. The copolymers are made by an aqueous emuslion polymerization process preferably containing a phosphate ester surfactant in addition to an anionic surfactant. Polyvinyl alcohol or other colloid stabilizer may be added to the copolymer emulsion together with a coalescing solvent and titanium dioxide pigment.
