Abstract
1326283 Hydrogen peroxide DEUTSCHE GOLD-UND SILBER SCHEIDEANSTALT 10 Sept 1970 [10 Sept 1969] 43296/70 Heading C1A A process for the production of H 2 O 2 by the anthraquinone process in which a working solution is used which (a) contains a quinone derivative of molecular weight below 275 as reaction carrier, (b) gives an H 2 O 2 capacity below 15 g. of H 2 O 2 per litre of working solution and (c) has a distribution of hydrogen peroxide between the aqueous and the organic phases in excess of 30 and in which extraction of the working solution with an aqueous extraction medium is continued until a crude extraction product is obtained having a H 2 O 2 concentration of 40-55%. The preferred working solution consists of aromatic gasoline, tri(ethyl hexyl)phosphate, 2-ethylanthraquinone and 2-ethyltetrahydroanthraquinone.
