Abstract

1326173 Spray producers; coating apparatus ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 25 Jan 1972 [2 Feb 1971] 3390/72 Headings B2F and B2L A spray producer which comprises a disc 10 rotatable in an electrostatic field, has a feed conduit 19 for powder fed under air pressure, which conduit has its outlet end 20 inclined at an angle of between 5‹ and 30‹ relative to the plane of the disc, the latter being provided with radial vanes 21 for producing turbulence of the powder. The disc 10 is carried by a shaft 12 rotated by an electric motor (13), Fig. 1 (not shown), which is within a device (14) which can be raised or lowered to vertically adjust the position of the disc 10. The articles to be sprayed are rotated by devices (17) and suspended from rails. The conduit 19 may have a slot shaped outlet opening.
