Abstract

1325478 Preparing and dispensing drinks J H MAGNUSSEN 12 Nov 1970 53878/70 Heading A4T [Also in Divisions B1 and B8] A device for preparing or dispensing drinks from a liquid and a powdered or granular solid comprises a support 15, Fig.3, having a retaining member on which a number of containers 19 for different solids can be placed, which solids can be discharged in specific desired quantities by a respective piston 26, Fig.4, movable towards and away from discharge aperture 18, and sealing the containers at their bases. The piston 26 may carry a frame 29, and a closure 30, the frame being biased by rubber band 31 to a closed position (here shown open), and a push plate 27, to allow dispensing into a cup placed below the container. The cup may then be placed under tube 10, Fig.3, controlled by tap 9 to allow addition of water, which may be heated or cooled. Cup dispensing means may also be incorporated.
