Abstract

1324231 Windows R CLAYTON and T TAYLOR 24 Aug 1970 [23 May 1969] 55705/ 68 Headings E1J and E1R A frame comprises outer and inner portions 6, 8 each having an H-shaped cross-section, the inner portion 8 having a wall 12 between two legs to form two channels 14, 16 to receive panes 42, 44. Outer legs 22, 24 of portion 8 and inner legs 28, 30 of portion 6 are initially curved to snap fit together. Wooden blocks 40 and corner pieces (32) are gripped between outer legs of portion 6 and are adhered or nailed to a frame of an existing window (Fig. 7). The panes have a plastics beading 46.
