Abstract

1324103 Power supplies for magnetrons C E M TIBBS 20 July 1971 [14 Sept 1970] 43757/70 Heading H2H A microwave heating device comprises a magnetron 13 supplied by a high tension power pack which consists of a high reactance mains transformer 1 and a resistor 15 connected in series with the primary winding 2 of the transformer. The power pack includes voltage doubling capacitances 7, 8 and the resistor 15 enables the magnetron power to be reduced. A switch 16 may be closed to increase the magnetron power. The resistor 15 may be replaced by series resistors of different values whih are switched in to vary the magnetron power.
