1324171 Expansion joints ACME HIGHWAY PRODUCTS CORP 9 Sept 1970 [10 Sept 1969] 43190/70 Heading E1B An elastomeric sealing strip 10 has an internal truss structure which upon compression will increase the surface contact area 16 of sidewalls 18 and 20 with slabs 14 by causing portions of the inclined bottom walls 32, 34 to be pressed thereagainst. The corners 30 may be angular and the comer between the top and sidewalls may be rounded. In a second embodiment the sidewalls converge slightly downwardly.
